"I joined Parripak straight from college and at first was very nervous about working in a department that has such a wide range of duties and skills to learn. This was also my first 'real job' so I didn't know what to expect from life in the working environment. I was involved immediately with a range of duties and got to learn new skills very quickly. It was daunting working with all the heavy machinery, most of which is bespoke and requires specialist knowledge. There was such a range of things to learn that it seemed that I would never know it all. Parripak put in place a scheme of work for me to learn my trade, and this structured approach really helped me and gave me a sense of purpose and direction."

"The team has grown with the company and its nice that I am now one of the longer serving employees and can offer advice to the newer colleagues. I'm very settled and happy with my work at Parripak and am pleased with the way they have supported me with continual training after giving me that initial chance. I think I am a good example of how a modern apprentice scheme should work and I am looking forward to getting the chance to work more with management in the running of the department. "
