From the North
Follow the A74 (M) southbound for England and Carlisle.  Take the junction marked for Gretna and Dumfries, follow the road round, eventually coming to a residential area.  Take the road sign posted for Gretna and Dumfries turning left and then left again at the road end.  You will see a bridge with traffic lights - follow straight over coming to a roundbout with a garage directly in front of you.  Take the fourth exit into Gretna, travel for approximately 1/2 mile and you will come to another set of traffic lights.  Turn left here and proceed down the main street with the shops on your right hand side.  At the bottom of the road you will come to a T junction, turn left here and the site is on your right hand side.

From the South
Follow the M6 and carry on when it becomes the A74 (dual carriageway).  You join the M74 and take the first exit sign posted Gretna.  turn left and follow this road until you come to a roundabout.  There is a petro station on your left.  Take the second exit (B721) until you come to a set of traffic lights.  You should have passed a school on your right.  Turn left at the lights and follow this road (Central Avenue), passing shops on your right and the Marriage Registry Office on your left, ujntil you come to a T-junction.  Turn left and the site is immediately on your right.
